Since its inauguration in the fall of 2000, the Wecht Institute has hosted an Annual Conference that convenes local and national figures from a wide variety of disciplines in an effort to shed greater light upon a particular set of issues.

The fifth Annual Conference, Tracking Terrorism in the 21st Century: A National Symposium on the Roles of Science and Law in Preventing, Investigating and Prosecuting Political Violence was held October 21-23, 2004.

Solving the Great American Murder Mystery

Last year's conference, the Solving the Great American Murder Mystery: A National Symposium on the 40th Anniversary of the JFK Assassination, convened the nation's top investigators and independent researchers from the fields of law, medicine, forensic science, government and academia in an effort to clarify and advance our collective understanding of this nation's 35th president.

Law, Family and Violence
Law, Family and Violence: A Multidisciplinary Symposium, held in 2002, featured experts in law, forensic science, medicine, law enforcement and public policy exploring many of the legal and scientific topics surrounding the perennial issues of child, domestic and elder abuse, as well as a special panel discussion on the clergy's role in reporting and preventing abuse.
